NEW ORLEANS — Mayor LaToya Cantrell may have to pay more than after the Louisiana Supreme Court upheld a lower court ruling rejecting Cantrell's stalking claims on Tuesday.
Breaud, who took the now-infamous photograph of Cantrell and her former bodyguard Jeffrey Vappie eating on a French Quarter restaurant balcony, had been accused of stalking by the mayor. Cantrell
The ruling reinforces previous decisions in the case. In June, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal upheld the dismissal of Cantrell's petition and ordered her to pay $8,000 in attorney fees for that appeal, in addition to the $15,393 previously awarded to Breaud.
