UTICA, New York (WWNY) - Jury deliberations will continue Thursday morning in Oneida County Court.
Twelve jurors are deciding the fate of three corrections officers, including Adams resident David Kingsley, accused in the beating death of inmate Robert Brooks at Marcy Correctional Facility in December of last year.
The trial began with jury selection last Monday, October 6th.
The prosecution called 12 witnesses to the stand, including a former officer and sergeant involved in the incident. The two took plea deals in the case.
Attorneys for the three defendants did not bring any witnesses to the stand.
Both the prosecution and defense rested their cases on Tuesday. Closing arguments and deliberations began on Wednesday.
