The transit authority that operates Detroit Metro Airport said Wednesday that it has asked the Transportation Security Administration to stop playing a video message from Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem that blames Democrats for the federal government shutdown.

The Wayne County Airport Authority said in a statement posted to social media that it doesn’t operate the security checkpoint monitors, which are located in space leased to the TSA, but asserted that the agency “did not seek approval to play the message.”

Matt Morawski, a spokesman for the airport authority, said the authority asked the TSA to stop playing the video because “we are concerned it is creating a negative customer experience.”
