GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Thirteenth Circuit Solicitor Cindy Crick said a Greenville man has been sentenced to life in prison after an abduction in downtown Greenville.
According to the solicitor’s office, on Wednesday, 53-year-old Tony McKinley Dillard was convicted of armed robbery, attempted armed robbery and two counts of kidnapping.
Officials said on Tuesday, Dillard abducted two victims while armed with a deadly weapon and walked them down Main Street in an effort to have them withdraw money from an ATM. The female tried to escape and ran into the women’s restroom at a local restaurant.
The solicitor said Dillard forced his way into the bathroom, assaulted the victim and took her phone away. He was found a short time after and identified by Greenville PD.
