PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — As political tensions continue to rise, a second round of nationwide "No Kings" demonstrations are scheduled to take place on Saturday, Oct. 18.
This summer, thousands across the U.S. gathered for more than 1,800 peaceful rallies against alleged corruption in the federal government, as a "nationwide day of defiance." The day also coincided with a planned "military parade" in Washington, D.C., and President Donald Trump's birthday.
Now four months later, people are planning to take the streets once again in opposition of the Trump administration, which organizers are now calling an "authoritarian regime in the White House."
