CLINTON, Miss. (WLOX) - On Thursday night, the Ocean Springs Lady Greyhounds defeated the Madison Central Lady Jaguars in three sets (25-10, 25-16, 25-18) to claim the 2025 MHSAA 7A Volleyball Championship .
The Lady Greyhounds made their presence known throughout the playoffs, only dropping one set across four games. Thursday night’s win marks their 40th on the season and grants the program its first-ever state volleyball title despite having played in two prior championship games.
Sophomore libero and defensive specialist Alden St. Amant was named MVP of the contest.
Ocean Springs stands alongside Our Lady Academy as one of two Coast teams to claim a volleyball state title this postseason.
George County will look to take home hardware of their own on Friday morning when th
