OAKVIEW, Mo. -- A Northland neighborhood is waiting years for water main repair work to wrap up.

Craig Hill says the first time he can remember hearing about KC Water’s project in Oakview was in 2020. Five years later, he says the job hasn’t been finished.

Across the neighborhood, you can see where KC Water crews have replaced mains in the street. The concrete is bumpy, and some areas are uneven. “I don't think it's enough to damage anyone's car, but it's just that no one wants to deal with that,” Hill said.

On his property, Hill said that crews left a large amount of dirt, that turned into a problem.

“The mud was so deep, it was coming over the tires, you know, onto the wheels,” he said. “So, they were just sinking because it wasn't compacted or anything like that. So, I had to just t
