LOUISVILLE, Ky. — While dominating their way to another state championship, the Trinity Rocks spent one of their Sunday off giving back to the community. Instead of staying on the field, members of the team spent time with residents at Harmony at Tucker Station, a memory care facility for seniors.
"This is the good stuff, it's Sunday afternoon, a beautiful day, we're getting to spend some time with some beautiful people" said Jay Cobb, Head Coach of the Shamrocks.
The visit included Cobb and the players, who tailgated, watched football with the residents, and shared laughs, proving the great American game can bridge generations.
"I have not ever seen anything like this, but it's truly a good feeling, it's a wonderful feeling right now" Stacy Beckham, director of Harmony Hall.
