WASHINGTON — DC Police have made an arrest months after a man was found stabbed to death in Northwest D.C.
Officers found 31-year-old Jonathan Simmons-Miller of Gaithersburg, Maryland, stabbed in the 700 block of V Street Northwest on July 30. Officers responded to the scene just after midnight and he was pronounced dead on the scene.
Following the stabbing, detectives offered a $25,000 reward for information. Now, police say the person responsible is in custody.
On Thursday, the police department's Fugitive Unit arrested and charged 35-year-old Leon Bryant with first degree murder while armed. Police say Bryant was incarcerated at the time of his arrest.
