This Day in History - October 17: Gina Bos goes missing, Nebraska Missing Persons Day created

October 17, 2000 - Regina Bos, a 40-year-old Lincoln woman, disappeared in downtown Lincoln on October 17, 2000.

Gina was last seen near a pub at 11th and K streets carrying her guitar over her shoulder. Her car was found across the street with the trunk ajar and her guitar inside. She left behind three young kids.

The Nebraska legislature created Nebraska Missing Persons Day on Oct. 17, 2024 in her honor.
