ZIONSVILLE, Ind. -- A Zionsville man who served 20 years in prison for killing a Lebanon man in 2002 has been charged after he threatened an individual and his family multiple times over text.

According to court documents, Christopher Showalter has been charged with four counts of intimidation, each a Level 6 felony, in Boone County.

This comes after Showalter pleaded guilty to murder in Boone County in 2004. According to reports from the IndyStar, Showalter killed Michael Krumwiede following an argument at a party in August 2002. Showalter was released in November 2024, having served 20 years in prison.
