Boston Animal Care and Control reported today it is looking for the owner of a pit bull found wandering around Evelyn Street in Mattapan last week but that it's gotten a notice from the animal control officer in Falmouth that the dog is scheduled for "an upcoming dangerous dog hearing in their town" following an unspecified "serious incident" there.

The department, with its animal shelter on Mahler Road in Roslindale, was responding to an online petition demanding it not put Tyler the dog to death, by somebody who claims to be familiar with Tyson and his loving, cuddly ways and his owner, who is currently "unreachable:"
