JOHNSON COUNTY, Mo - A Kansas City man made his initial appearance in Johnson County Court this morning after he barricaded himself in a rural Kingsville residence on Wednesday.

According to a probable cause statement, Johnson County Deputies initially responded to the residence for a reported domestic disturbance. They made contact with the female victim about a mile west of the residence. She claimed 28-year-old Carlos Miguel Acuna had put a knife to her throat. She also stated Acuna had grabbed her and slammed her against the wall. A red scratch mark and a bruise were visible on her neck.

A standoff ensued between authorities and Acuna while he was barricaded inside the residence. Acuna eventually surrendered without further incident. He was found to be in possession of over fou
