A man suspected in a triple murder in East Texas shot himself in the head after crashing a minivan into a Buc-ee's in Ennis early Friday, leaving himself and a woman hospitalized, police said.
Authorities have identified the suspect as Christopher Kyle Reid Jr., 29, of Hubbard. Reid is accused of fatally shooting three people in a home in the Cedar Creek Cove subdivision in Mabank, Henderson County, earlier in the day.
Buc-ee's incident occurred around 5 a.m.
The Ennis Police Department said the incident happened around 5 a.m. at the Buc-ee's off I-45 and Creechville Road. A maroon 2003 Dodge Caravan drove into one of the store's entrances, pinning a woman against a sales display. The driver, identified as Reid, then shot himself.
