OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - Owensboro Police say a 19-year-old is charged with terroristic threatening after he said he wanted to commit a shooting at Kentucky Wesleyan.
Josiah James was booked into the Daviess County Jail Friday.
On Tuesday, police say they were called to the 200 block of East 23rd Street.
They James was found with several self-inflicted cuts that required medical treatment, and he made the statements on the way to the hospital.
After getting a search warrant, police say they found several guns and rounds of ammunition in a backpack.
They say several electronic devices were also seized.
On those devices, detectives say they found hundreds of internet searches on school shootings.
Officials don’t believe James was ever a student at KWC.
