WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - A 47-year-old Wichita woman has been sentenced to just over 16 years in prison for killing her 16-year-old son last year.

Tesha Florence (Jenkins) pleaded no contest on August 22 to second-degree murder in the death of Robert Florence, as well as aggravated counts of assault and burglary. A judge on Friday sentenced her to 138 months for murder, 43 months for assault and 13 months for burglary. Those sentences will be served consecutively, for a total of 194 months.
