SOUTH SHORE — Weeks after a high-profile federal raid of their building, only a handful of residents are still living in a mostly-vacant South Shore apartment complex that city officials described as “dangerous and hazardous” during a court hearing Friday, suggesting it should be completely cleared out.
But a judge gave property managers more time to repair the 130-unit building — and said it was her understanding that immigration agents raided the property after Chicago police had failed to address safety concerns there.
