AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - A woman who is one of New Mexico’s most wanted fugitives is the person authorities say is responsible for a north Amarillo fire that caused $20,000 in damages.

A Potter County grand jury voted to indict 32-year-old Britney Encinias for arson today.

A request for information was made to the Amarillo Fire Marshal’s Office for more information.

In a response, the office stated that Encinias is responsible for a structure fire near Martin Road and Amarillo Boulevard that happened on January 11.

The initial release for the incident states that the Amarillo Fire Department responded to a building fire at a grocery store on Martin Road. Light smoke was visible from the front door of the commercial strip mall.
