BELLWOOD, Pa. (WTAJ) — Teachers in the Bellwood-Antis School District could go on strike at the end of the month.
Union representatives said they will proceed with a strike vote after contract negotiations with the district Thursday night broke down.
According to the Bellwood-Antis Education Association Negotiations Committee, the District provided the Union with an unwritten, verbal "take it or leave it" offer that they felt ignored their proposals.
"Despite our best efforts to reach an agreement, the district walked away from negotiations after three and a half hours," the union said in a press release.
According to union officials, the District refused to schedule another negotiation session despite union request.
The union is accusing the district of not negotiating in good faith,
