AUSTIN, Texas — Ousted Texas Medical Board Director held his head up high Friday afternoon as best he could as he detailed the fall out of his career.
Dr. Robert Bredt resigned in January after his resume became the center of a social media firestorm the previous month. It showed his time with Planned Parenthood's South Texas lab, which led to conservative lawmakers to call for his firing.
"There was absolutely nothing wrong or illegal with what Planned Parenthood did or does; there was nothing wrong or illegal with what I did to support them," Bredt said. "Providing health to low-income women and families is a good thing that everyone should support."
