A man has been arrested after allegedly forcibly confining and seriously assaulting a 78-year-old in his home over the course of three days.
According to ACT Policing, the accused 28-year-old had arranged to stay in the older man's Bruce home.
There, from October 15, he is said to have repeatedly attacked the alleged victim, including by kicking and choking him.
The younger man was arrested on Friday, October 17, for unrelated offences.

On the same night, the alleged victim managed to leave his home and seek medical assistance.
As a result, the 28-year-old was charged at the ACT watch house with three counts of intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm, an offence which carries a 20-year maximum penalty.
