A teenage boy was wounded in a shooting in the Loop Friday afternoon.

The 14-year-old boy was in the 100 block of South Wells Street around 4:19 p.m. Friday when he was shot by an unknown offender, Chicago police said.

The boy was shot in the leg and transported to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago in stable condition.

No one was in custody.
