The city of Glendale will leadd a free, informative event to help tackle the rate of dementia in Arizona and arm Glendale residents with the tools and support they need to offer compassionate assistance to loved ones impacted.

The public is welcome at the fourth annual Dementia Friendly Glendale Awareness Event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18 at the GESD System of Care Center, 7677 W. Bethany Home Road. City staff members, healthcare organizations, memory care providers and non-profit organizations will share information and resources, as well as provide free brain health assessments.
