RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Officials at the Cleveland High School vs. Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School football game confirmed with CBS 17 a player had a to be resuscitated on the field during the game.
According to the officials at the game, the Cleveland High School Rams wide receiver took a hard hit on the field in the third quarter of the game at John H. Baker stadium.
Medical officials tending to the player said he had no pulse, resulting in CPR being preformed, according to a volunteer coach at the game. After CPR the player regained consciousness and was taken to WakeMed for additional treatment.
