The Winnipeg Blue Bombers may not be backing into the playoffs, but they’re sure not leaping in with a somersault and a clean landing.
With a chance to hang onto their own destiny on home turf in front of another sell-out crowd, and facing a Saskatchewan Roughriders squad resting a boatload of its best players, the Bombers barely escaped with a 17-16 win, improving to 9-8.
Going into the game, Mike O’Shea had said just getting into the playoffs isn’t good enough.
