WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — A Utah man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to charging thousands of dollars for a fake vacation rental in Hawaii and to two other fraud cases.
33-year-old Matthew Liutai Tanuvasa was sentenced for multiple fraud cases in Washington and Utah County.
Previously, Tanuvasa pleaded guilty to theft/deception with a value above $5000, which is a second-degree felony and two counts of possessing a forgery writing/device, which are third-degree felonies, in the Provo District Court.
He also pleaded guilty to one count of theft/deception with a value between $1500 and $4999, a third-degree felony, and one count of issuing a bad check with a sum over $5000, in the St. George District Court.
