LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A man was found guilty on Friday after a violent stabbing outside a north Lincoln bar in March.

Eleazar Morales, 25, was found guilty of first-degree assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.

Sentencing is set for Nov. 17.

On March 9 around 1:30 a.m., responders were dispatched to the bar near Bair Avenue and North 32nd Street. Officers found a 36-year-old man bleeding profusely from a neck wound.

The man was rushed to a Lincoln hospital where staff found a second stab wound to his upper torso. The carotid artery in his neck had been severed, and 20 units of blood had to be administered during surgery.

While investigating at the bar, police said that 38-year-old Joel Martinez was identified as a participant in the attack .
