LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Twenty-five years ago Friday, in the early morning hours of Oct. 17, 2000, then-40-year-old Regina Bos left an open mic night at Duggan’s Pub in downtown Lincoln.
Police later found her guitar and sheet music next to her car, but Bos was never seen again.
Regina Bos is the oldest unsolved missing persons case for the Lincoln Police Department .
“It’s a reminder of the pain that comes with not knowing, but also of the courage that it takes to keep searching, to keep hoping, and to keep speaking their names,“ said Capt. Ben Miller of the Lincoln Police Department.
Legislation passed in 2024 designated Oct. 17 as Nebraska Missing Persons Day, sponsored by her family through the foundation they created in Bos’ honor, called the GINA for Missing Persons FOUNDati
