New Delhi: In a tragic incident in Mozambique, at least three Indians died in a boat accident, and five remain missing. The mishap happened after a launch boat ferrying crew members of a tanker capsized during a crew transfer operation off the coast of Beira port in central Mozambique on Friday, October 17, confirmed by the Indian High Commission.

It was a routine transfer of crew members to a vessel anchored offshore. A total of 14 Indians were in the boat. Some were rescued immediately after the accident, but the majority of the people either died or are still missing. The reason for the tragedy is still unknown.
