Amazon has closed a deal on a new warehouse on the East Side and could spend $61 million renovating it.

The Seattle-based delivery and tech giant announced that it had closed a deal for a 560,000-square-foot warehouse on Rosillo Creek Boulevard, near Interstate 10 and roughly a mile from several other Amazon facilities.

The property is valued at $38 million, according to the Bexar County Appraisal District, and was owned by CT, a business unit of Wolters Kluwer, itself a global company focused on information, professional and financial services.

The land is zoned for industrial use.

The renovation will focus on the building’s interior, according to records from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, and is being designed by Stantec Architecture.
