(KFVS) - The SEMO Homecoming Game is today, and we are keeping an eye on some storms moving into the area.
For this morning, conditions are mostly dry with a small chance for a few showers. Highs will reach the low 80s.
However, this won’t last for long, as the chance for showers and thunderstorms increases as we near the afternoon.
The entire Heartland is outlooked at a slight risk (2 out of 5) for severe weather.
Meteorologist Joi Alon says models suggest the line of storms is expected to be in the Heartland by mid-afternoon. There is a chance it could become severe, with the biggest threats being gusty winds and quarter-sized hail.
These storms will be out of the area late tonight.
Conditions will dry out for Sunday, with highs in the upper 60s and a strong breeze. Lows will beg
