Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes says she still plans to sue U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson over his delay swearing in U.S. Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva even though the deadline she gave him came and went.

Mayes, a Democrat who is arguing that Grijalva's constituents are being "taxed without representation," had threatened to sue Johnson, R-Lousiana, if he didn't schedule the ceremony by Thursday.
