The driver of a car involved in a deadly crash that killed two people in Chicago's Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood was cited after allegedly causing the collision, authorities said.

The crash was reported at approximately 9:30 p.m. Friday along South Vincennes Avenue near West 75th Street. Police said a 37-year-old woman driving a Buick was heading westbound when she attempted to make a left turn and failed to yield at the intersection.

As a result, her vehicle collided with a black Dodge.

Two passengers in that car, an 18-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man, were taken to an area hospital and later pronounced dead. The driver, a 26-year-old man, along with two passengers, a 15-year-old girl and a 25-year-old woman, were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities
