At least the Toronto Blue Jays were in action.

That gave fans at the Aud a distraction.

Many with access to Game 5 of the American League Championship Series turned to their phones to watch the Jays take on the Seattle Mariners for relief from the slaughter on the ice.

Some simply left early from Friday’s 6-1 London Knights win over the Kitchener Rangers to catch the playoff baseball tilt at home.

And who could blame them?

After all, it was all London at the Aud.

It was billed as a highlight game on the Ontario Hockey League’s rivalry week docket.

In the end, it was more of the same for the Rangers.

Another London win. Another one-sided affair. And another game where the Blueshirts were lulled into chasing Knights around the ice rather than chasing goals.
