Waterloo Regional Police are looking for suspects in two jewelry swap attempts in Kitchener.
Police said they are treating the two incidents separately and trying to determine if they are connected.
The first incident occurred Friday at roughly 2:30 p.m., in the area of Oprington and Benesfort drives, when a person was approached by a vehicle with three people who tried to place jewelry on them. The person declined and the three left prior to police arrival.
Less than an hour later, police said they received another call after a person was approached by two people in a vehicle near Margaret Avenue and Fairfield Avenue. The pair placed jewelry on the person while simultaneously removing the victim’s own jewelry. The two then fled the area.
No injuries were reported in either case.
