MINNEAPOLIS — Add another honor to the long list for Diane's Place .
The Hmong American restaurant in northeast Minneapolis has been named Food & Wine's 2025 Restaurant of the Year.
The restaurant, which opened in April 2024, features Chef Diane Moua's approach to traditional Hmong cuisine, blending her pastry expertise with savory recipes passed down through generations of Hmong women. The menu offers breakfast, brunch and dinner dishes, along with pastries and desserts.
"We're thrilled to honor Diane's Place as the 2025 Food & Wine Restaurant of the Year, joining past winners Burdell in Oakland, California, and Birdie's in Austin, Texas," said Hunter Lewis, editor in chief of Food & Wine, in a statement.
"Our restaurant scouts dined in hundreds of restaurants during the past year,
