Passengers were left dangling 100 feet high in the air after a fairground ride malfunctioned in North Carolina.
On Thursday, Oct. 16, the Vertigo ride at the North Carolina State Fair in Raleigh, N.C., unexpectedly stopped “due to a low voltage fault," WRAL News reported, citing the North Carolina Department of Agriculture (NCDA).
The NCDA stated that the low-voltage fault triggered the ride to automatically stop as a precaution as part of the safety system installed on the ride.
