JACKSON — An alleged armed robbery suspect fleeing Byram police struck a passenger vehicle in South Jackson Saturday morning.

Byram Police Chief David Errington said the call originated in Terry, and that Byram received the BOLO from the Hinds County Dispatch and located the vehicle on I-55.

The suspect pulled over, but fled after being ordered out of the vehicle.

The pursuit came to an end at the intersection of Raymond Road and Robinson Road.

The Hinds County Coroner is on the scene. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and the Mississippi Highway Patrol will investigate the incident.

This is a developing story.
