Drivers in the northwest Valley should plan for road and ramp closures this weekend along Loop 101, state transportation officials said.

The work will take place from Friday night, Oct. 17, until Monday morning, Oct. 20, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Here is what drivers should prepare for:

Southbound Loop 101 will be closed between 75th Avenue and Thunderbird Road from 9 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday for pavement sealing.

Westbound Loop 101 on-ramps at 59th and 67th avenues will be closed. Detours: Westbound Loop 101 drivers can consider exiting to southbound 59th Avenue before using westbound Thunderbird Road to reach Loop 101. Note: Crews will work to reopen southbound Loop 101 in sections as the pavement sealing advances.
