The Gillette College Pronghorns women’s soccer team has officially clinched a postseason berth. It comes after an up and down season, which saw the team start 5-2, followed by four straight losses, then five straight wins, to finish with a 10-6 record.

Head coach Anthony Longo has the Pronghorns in the Region IX tournament for the second straight season. They went through a rough stretch but it was one that has molded them into a resilient, hardworking and determined team.

They won their final two games 8-0 against Trinidad State College and 7-1 against Otero College. In their final four games, the Pronghorns outscored their opponents 28-1.

Throughout the season, the Pronghorns showed an ability to learn from their mistakes on both sides of the field, and it came from a combined effort.
