POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (WSIL) -- Two people were taken to a hospital after a side-by-side crash near Poplar Bluff on Friday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) stated on October 17, at 9:30 p.m., a 44-year-old man from Poplar Bluff was driving a 2012 Can-Am Commander going north on County Road 611, roughly three miles south of Poplar Bluff. A 49-year-old from Poplar Bluff was a passenger in the Can-Am Commander at the time of the crash.
State police said the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and crashed into a ditch.
The driver was flown to St. Louis University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, while the passenger was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, according to a MSHP crash report.
