Parents as Teachers (PAT) is a program with which many readers may be very familiar — it’s been operating in our community for over 30 years. The premise is simple: compassionate professionals who are well-versed in child development and behavioral best practices work with parents to navigate the child-raising pitfalls and obstacles that result because little people don’t come with instruction manuals.
