The Roger Williams University Women’s Rugby team defeated U Mass Lowell at home on Saturday, 72-0, with U Mass Lowell forfeiting the game at half time. The Hawks are now 3-0 heading into next week's game at Providence College, and play their final game of the season at home against Norwich on Oct. 25 at 8 p.m.
Their 26 year old head coach Caitlin Mallahan, who played at RWU and served as a two year team captain, is now in her 5th season at the helm. She was happy with her team’s performance. “On offense we had some expert playmaking, with nine different players scoring, including 4 tries from Kaya Hadad,” she said. “On defense, we played with an urgency to win the ball back. This was the first game where we held the opposition to no points. Senior Danielle Vogt impressed me
