LSU Tigers quarterback Garrett Nussmeier was visibly emotional after falling to the Vanderbilt Commodores on Saturday afternoon.
In a highly anticipated battle between two ranked teams (Vanderbilt 17, LSU 10), it was the Commodores who emerged victorious by a final score of 31-24. The loss is sure to alter both teams’ rankings drastically, and it could end up costing LSU a spot in the 12-team playoff.
