Abbotsford Canucks forward Chase Stillman received a game misconduct in Friday’s game against the Laval Rocket for a vicious and dangerous cheap shot on Josiah Didier during their scrap.

The Canucks and Rocket are the AHL affiliates of the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks and Montreal Canadiens, respectively. Laval hosted Abbotsford in the first of a back-to-back on Friday, cruising to a 3-0 shutout victory.

A scary scene unfolded when Chase Stillman and Josiah Didier dropped the gloves in the second period. Even though Didier didn’t have his helmet on, Stillman tackled him to the ice and proceeded to punch his defenseless opponent in the head:
