KATY, Texas — Days after a man and woman were seen on surveillance video piling pumpkins from a Katy church into their vehicle, they came forward to do the right thing.
As we reported earlier this week, First Christian Church Katy has their pumpkin patch every year to raise money for community projects. Reverend Heather Tolleson was shocked when she discovered that a bunch of pumpkins had been pilfered by a pair of thieves.
“I had to watch it several times, because it was just disbelief,” she told KHOU 11.
Tolleson was even more surprised when the suspects returned to the church a few days later to seek forgiveness.
"I didn’t expect anybody to come forward," she said. "They came back twice to make sure they could apologize and pay for these pumpkins."
