MIDDLESEX COUNTY, N.J. (PIX11) – A 19-year-old student in New Jersey remains in critical condition in the hospital after an alleged hazing incident.

The 19-year-old is a student at Rutgers University, authorities announced on Friday.

On Wednesday, Rutgers Police responded to a 911 call near a residence in New Brunswick at around 12:26 a.m. The 19-year-old victim had been injured and was found to be unresponsive, authorities said.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition, police said.
