SAWYER, N.D. (KMOT) — Horse and Halloween enthusiasts can enjoy an event combining both, next weekend.

Northern Pines Stables is hosting its fifth annual Boo in the Barn event near Sawyer.

Executive Director Teresa Duchscherer said you get to see horses in costume, and enjoy free food, carnival games, bounce houses, pony rides and more.

She said both her and barn manager Veronica Enander love Halloween and saw this as a perfect way to offer community engagement.

Visitors have the chance to vote on their favorite horse costume too!

The event also encourages people to learn more about their various horse-related programs.

“It gives people an opportunity to come hands-on with horses, they get to meet them up front and personal,” said Teresa Duchscherer.
