MILL CREEK, W.Va. — State police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a woman’s body found in the middle of a road in Randolph County.

Troopers said a driver was traveling on Back Road near Mill Creek early Saturday morning when he struck what he thought was a dead deer.

The driver stopped and called 911. When first responders arrived they determined it was the body of a woman who was dead.

Troopers said she had identification on her and they’ve been unable to determine who she is.

The body has been sent to the state Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and identification.
