TERRY — Four Montana State University students spent time in Terry Schools during the first week in October as part of an initiative designed to address a teaching shortage in the state.
Students participated as part of MSU’s Discovery Class, the first stage of a four-part program that introduces education students to teaching in rural communities through immersive experiences through MSU’s Center for Research on Rural Education under its director Dr. Jayne Downey.
The university students each plan and lead classroom lessons, gaining valuable hands-on teaching experience.
